    I used olive oil to remove six surgical spirit stains on my polished desk

    surface as tipped above. I was amazed! In no time the stains vanished,

    with the surface regaining its former sheen. I had tried rubbing them off

    with furniture polish as suggested by the manufacturer of the desk with-

    out the least change in their apearance. A very useful tip !
